Struktur kimiawi Bilirubin

Bilirubin (Inggris: bilirubin, hematoidin) yaiku senyawa pigmen awerna kuning kang minangka kasil katabolisme enzimatik biliverdin dèning biliverdin reduktase. Oksidasi bilirubin ngasilaké biliverdin manèh, saéngga mènèhi atribut antioksidan ing senyawa kimia iki ing fisiologi selular, kajaba GSH.[1] Bilirubin yaiku penghambat respon sel T CD4+, dhuwuré rasio serum bilirubin bakal ngindhuksi apoptosis sèl T CD4+ kasebut, saéngga bilirubin dianggep bisa mandhegaké penyakit otoimun kayata sklerosis multipel.[2]
